Default halfshell time

Morning started off interesting. Had the kayak loaded up last night so I hit the gas station early to get a cup of coffee this am. 2 girls pull up that you can tell have been partying as the clothes and ......... the throw up down the passenger side of the car. 5 min late 2 others pull up and some of them transfer cars. Before they make it out the lot one gets the passenger window part way down and tosses it but does it not make it out the window. I laughed my arse off!

Start heading down 23 and just miss hitting a hog but then a mile down the road I nail a possum about 70, i guess I won.

Water in the ponds were clear, clear, clear with plenty grass. Found plenty schools of 4-6 reds in nice slot size not tailing but would push some and bust minnows. All the reds I found were hard to get to hit today. Tried spinners, free lined, and gold spoons. The 3 I brought home were busted on the Marsh Works spoon. I just wanted a couple for the grill so I left the water at 9:30 and up the road I went.

I am using the same Marsh Works gold spoon for awhile now with over 40 reds caught on it and not a scratch on it yet!!!

Pictures coming soon when I get my tired butt outside again!
Another fun day in the kayak was had for sure. Did alot of paddling scouting out some other ponds today and found some deep holes!

Southshore, How are you working that spoon? I've tried throwing them but I'm nor sure I'm not sure I'm fishing it right.

I put in at Magnolia. The great thing about the kayak is you just look for a goos spot off the road that leads to marsh and go for it. Google Earth is your friend. Found many productive spots that way. What model kayak are you looking at? I may be getting another one as well soon. I need another for standing

I usually real kinda slow with an irratic twitching motion. If the grass is real thick I twitch it pretty good with pauses in the grass and that works pretty well.

Good stuff, I see the party goers all the time when I'm heading outdoors.

The gas station on hwy 27 and 108 has the most late partygoers; I guess because of Skanky Lanes down the road.

It makes you feel very productive when its them and not you.
