We've already been through this........If it breaks, malfunctions or whatever (say the screen blacks out) & you can't "un" jailbreak it Apple will not touch it & will also log it into their system as being jail broke & will never work on it again whether you erased it or not. Thats alot of money to throw away. Do what you like. It's happened to me. My son jail broke mine & I didn't know what it was. Several hundred dollars later I completely understand now.
btw.......he'll never jail break another of mine or his!!!!!!!!!!! |

If the phone malfunctions & you can't restore you're screwed....happened to me. My screen blacked out

Yes. It's very easy to restore to factory settings. I brought mine into the apple store because of a headphone jack problem. While jailbroke.
The guy just plugged it up. Factory restored and gave me a new one |

Even if the screen blacks out. You connect it to your computer and hit restore.
I thought I bricked mine once. All I had to do was connect it to a computer. 1 click and 10 mins later. It worked fine |

Alright man. I understand. Something didn't go right for you.
But to tell someone not to do it because you had a bad experience and makin it seem like every phone will mess up. Is a little unclalled for in my opinion. Just out of curiousity. Did you consult someone with experience with jailbreaking and such when you had your problem? |

So, who wants to win this arguement more? Lol
Mine seems to do plenty for me and it's not jailbroke. I have heard that warranties are gone if you do this. |

Why do you have contradict or question anything anyone says?

Lol. Easy wretrievers. You contradicted me.
I simply said that I've never had a problem. And that it is reversible in every situation I've been in (I've jailbroke 14 phones). You are the one getting worked up. Now. Let's be big boys. Did you get someone to look at your phone after your screen blacked out? I've had two that I thought were ruined. After some finagling I was able to work it out. |

Southern. Putting your phone in certain cases will ruin your so called warranty.
I say so called because it leaves much to be desired in a warranty plan. For example. The proximity sensor on my 4. (which is suppose to make the phone screen turn off when it gets ear your face.) It doesn't always work on mine. Took it to apple they claim a software problem and that an update will come soon. Not covered by warranty even though there is an obvious manufacturer problem |

wt I gotcha man...if i **** up my phone then its my fault and I'll take the financial risk. I like doing crap like this and assume the risk!

that's what I was curious about. Sulphite your right. when you jailbreak you assume the risk back to the topic, it is much easier to do on a mac, so if you know someone with a mac, it takes all of 8-9 minutes for a full jailbreak i loved having mine jailbroken, opens it up to a whole new world. plus you get all the app store apps for free. that was nice |
