Couple guys here at work was talking about this that live close to where it's being built somewhere around New Iberia or just south on Hwy 90, it's estimated to carry up to 50,000 & they figure it'll run between 30 & 40 mph with 18" of draft

It was built in Houma. Must be a special application boat to be built like that.
18" draft ain't much for something that size...

I saw this boat under that covered building on the way to Cocodrie. We were all trying to count the motors on it when we passed it on the highway.

What is it's purpose?

All I need is the money they spent on the motor and I could take a few days off

Being built by Ronnie's airboat and expected to do 25 knots unloaded and only draft about 4 inches. I think he was hoping to do work on the spill but will make a killing doing shallow water wireline and P&A. Won't need to dredge to get where it is needed.
