I used to hunt that place regularly for ducks. Some of the best hunts I ever had were there. Haven't been in a few years. The old ATV trails are now gravel and you can drive a freaking Honda Civic down them where once you had to float your 4 wheeler, but yes the deer are there, especially near the greentree reservoirs. Used to see deer all the time while duck hunting, and quite a few pigs in the area now too. There are some really nice bucks that come out of that place and its almost 50K acres so plenty of places to get

Baited fields! The deer hunting can be really good, the trails of the deer are easy to see because the woods are usually wet. But any levee or anything like that usually has lots of deer. Good area to stalk also, because some of the areas are wide open and if you go by boat you may not see another hunter at all.
How was the duck hunting? See any flights? Was slow at D'arbonne Bayou

Beouf WMA, east of the town of Columbia La in Caldwell parish. River is way down and I believes the boys up there are having a hard time finding water.

With the low water they are easier to find if you find the water the hogs should be there, and the deers! Oh and not to mention the white perch fishing is good too in the treetops with the river this low and not much current

Thank you fellas! May have to make a pass through there when deer season is over. I don't much care for WMA's when every swinging "richard" that owns a gun suddenly become the great white hunter!
