Yea and the verado 350 is a V-6 insted of a V-8 so it might get alittle bet MPG.

i dont know were you are at but in lake charles there is several 24 high outputs and one Z21 if you need names send me a pm and we can set up a demo i am building 2 more for the guys at hackberry rod and gun we do not offer the flats models anymore we do offer the new 21 cat and we are building the new 24 cat i do not have a cat in la yet so if anyone of yall from there want one i will make a special deal on 2 boats to get some over there i do deliver to la we sell 3-4 of the 21 cats a week they are fast dry and smooth and run were you should not run thanks for the interest in texas #1 built bay boats HAYNIE !

The guide I fished with in S. Texas had a Mercury-powered Haynie. That sucker would fly.

I'm going out on a limb here. There is only one 2 stroke motor I will own and thats a Mercury optimax. If I was to buy a 4 stroke it would be a Suzuki. It uses a timing chain not some high maintenance belt motor.

Merc....will fly into the boat shop for a monthly repair!!Fished Big Lak yesterday and we picked up 24 trout and 3 white trout all on plastics and top water. Also, I saw what looked like to be a 24' Haynie (likely a guide boat).

I saw a very nice looking Shearwater in Big Lake yesterday with a big Mercury on the back. It had MI letters. Is that Michigan, Mississippi or Missouri?
