Same with live well. If you are fishing for big Trout, use a stringer tied to a cleat.
Trout thumping around in a box or ice chest or the sound of a live well is not normal to a big 'un.

lol.... Dont know about 5,000 but I bet he has caught over 1000 of them..... My dad watched him at the old jetties one day and they boated huge trout one after another...he said they all looked over 7lbs....using big mullet..about 6 to 8inch long

I definitely believe that. Think about it...this fellow pioneered this lake for guides. He was fishing the lake before he opened HR&G. There were a lot more big fish back then than there are now. Just listen to the netters. Like W said about his past generations, lots of big fish were netted. I think it was very possible. I bet he caught 5000 fish a year back then. The averages are in his favor.
