Haha. Good luck. I've gotten to the point when they're calling for 2-4's I usually pass. It's ALWAYS rougher than the forecast!

As long as you don't go downstairs to sleep or up in the tower u r ok it does make it tough with multiple hook ups n sloppy seas trying to run around the boat to try n Un tangle everyone!!

I own a nautical star and love it! It floats and catches fish when I get a chance to. I bet Lincoln has a nice ride but I own a dodge and it gets me where I need to go. Just sayin.

To each is their own . . . . Man asked what our opinion was on NAUTIC Star and Triton, i have been in both and Triton is a better boat imo
Does that mean that there is anything wrong with a NAUTIC Star no not at all just means as my own person i would get a triton over a nautic star all day every day if that was the 2 options i had on boats
Once again nothing wrong with a NAUTIC Star they are nice and heavy and will swallow some rough stuff

Tight Lines fellas . . . . . .

Is this even a fair comparison? Isn't' a Triton substantially more expensive than a Nautic Star? Like comparing a Lexus to a Toyota?

I have been in both, in my opinion the Triton is a better made boat but the Nautic Star is a great inexpensive boat. Of course if you pay more you get more but there is a law of diminishing returns when it comes to all things. In other words that 13 piece of pizza at the buffet will not taste as good as the first. Just like the difference in a 75K and 60K boat is not noticeable to most. It's all about what you want and what you can afford and can justify spending on a boat. You may be able to spend the $$ to buy a yellow fin but is the extra 40K over and above the other boat you are looking at worth it? If you have W's money you probably would just by the yellowfin but if not you might think, heck for 45K total I can get a good 24 foot Nautic Star and it floats and gets me where I want to go, why spend the extra dollars. Or maybe you can justify parting with another 15K to move up the Triton. You can't really compare the two in my opinon, two different classes of boats.

Alot of boat buying is about prestige and ego. I know a ton of people that have bought the expensive ride...a ride they really couldn't afford and ended up taking a beating just to get rid of it. To me, a Yellowfin is no better than a Triton.....FOR ME. So, spending the extra money is not justified....whether I can afford it or not.

And, you are right, Chicken.....this is not a fair coNparison.
