Default 2011 chevy.... Problem found

I bought my truck in October..... In November I started hearing a high pitch rattling from under the truck.... Took it to 3 diff chevy dealers..... No help..
So I just stopped trying to figure it out.
Went in today to get an oil change at the local fast lube. Guy finished up and asks me how I like the truck. Told him bout noise and he started Lookin at all the areas he thought could rattle. No luck. Last thing they do is check the transmission fluid....... Pulls dip stick out...... Transmission tube casing comes out with dip stick..... Damn thing has been broke from the main hose since NOV..... Proof the chevy dealer didn't check the tranny fluid. And has no trouble shooting skills what so ever!!!
So I take it to the chevy dealer, throw it on the service manager desk and tell him " heres the damn problem!! Let use that warranty and fix it!!"
They can't figure out what part I need. Chevy uses 3 diff tranny tubes , depends on what plant it came from. Thankfully they had the correct one in stock.
Gettin it fixed in the morning.

Glad they found the problem for you.

That wouldn't have happened with a Ford, you'd just be short a gun!

Tell em to change the tranny fluid and filter also. No telling how much debris you have collected since then if that's been open that long.

Maybe this is what my problem is. I got a rattle when my truck is in any gear but neutral. I'll jack it up and see tomorrow.

Most new Fords dont have a dipstick tube. You dont have the same quality of techs out there like 10 years ago.

dude i'm not gonna lie. I have an 08 chevy z71 and i LOVE the look of the truck. But man, so many things rattle in that truck its embarrasing and then everything is made of plastic so is always breaking. My door locks barely work half the time, my door handle has gotten stuck open, i watch my bed rattle if i run over a pebble.. just so many little things that could of been done a lot better without spending much money.

I don't know what truck i'll get next. I HATE the rattling bed, HATE IT!
