I have no idea how or why it started. There is a Facebook page called Planking in Acadiana or some crap like that and if you have kids, you will here about it. So I am listening to all their stories and start looking at the pictures of people "plankin", and for some reason I started laughing looking at all the crazies, climbing things to plank. Best one I have seen so far is the guy on top of the Taco Bell in Lafayette. Again, not sure why, but I laugh at them.

We had some friends of ours on Bourbon this weekend for a party trip and these old folks got it going on! Almost peed myself looking at their "plankin" photos. Bar stool, girl/girl double plankin', shoulder plankin' the bell hop.......pretty funny if you know the people doing it. I will post the picture of the "dual Yamaha plankin' in the GoM" later today!

Started years ago over in Europe and made its way here. Several people have died from it, but I think it's pretty funny. But there's a fine line between funny and stupid. I wouldn't be out there on the rig's rail and planking, or in the middle of the road

Tosh.O is hilarious. Planking is for ducks! I'm about to start deleting everyone on facebook that does it except u Shaw, cause yours are the only ones that are somewhat amusing at times. And I understand it's prob pretty boring offshore.

It was started in Australia a long time ago and I don't even think they do it anymore. And yes, someone died the other day from trying to plank.
