I agree with this, but also see the argument from the 'other side' as well. SOME (not all) of this is due to frivolous lawsuits of people getting hurt on someones' property and they are just having to take measures to extreme. Others are still clearly in the wrong and want to have their own private fishing hole. We are in a world where everyone wants to sue and get something for nothing, and it is what it is.

Fool, that was by no means an attack, but you have to see it from both sides. You were 9 isn't going to hold up when it comes to a trespassing ticket, much like the guy who didn't know he was in a private canal. Mistakes happen

No harm takin bro. I didn't know it was private, I dont go back. I'm just stating the my canal is non navigable along with the rest of the culverts on the calcasieu.

I thnk the biggest problem yall (the people on your road) have is people fishin from the road on the marsh side, aint that the case there and not boats

I don't have too much of a problem with people at my set. The last 2 have problems. Jim has to fight em a the time

If it is part of Big Lake then yes it is private "W" owns the whole lake, he is just letting people fish his lake today

Years ago there was a push from land owners to make the Saltditch private but (and I may be off on this) the coast guard blocked it.

I don't own the culverts. The parish owns them. Both myself and neighbor split land on both sides of OUR CANAL.

I grew up with the Little Burns in my back yard and have shot many tree rats and a few ducks in there but always knew the risk of Mastrada( how ever you spell it) catchin us

Hey....watch that, you talking about my neighbor. Jim M. lives just down the road from me. At one time he owned most of the Moss Bluff property, including my property.

And he does usuall "carry" and has a bottle.....so be careful with him. He is a grouchy [and very rich] old man, and IMO it is because he does not have a women.
