FlagUS Saturday out of Cypremort Point

Hit the pass about 8am, stopped at my favorite reef where the water was moving and mixing really nice. Anchor out and it was ON! 135 fish later and we were so tired we shut it down and left the fish biting! That was a first for me. Mostly white trout with about two dozen specks mixed in. Let me tell you, that's a lot of filets yeah! Nice day on the water, salty and like glass all day long. Saw lots of propoises swiming around and even saw a black bear coming out of the cane fields on the way home. A great day for sure!

Sweet. I need to go check that area out. I've only been twice. And it's been over 10 years since the last time

To those questions, the bear looked real skinny, about 5 ft tall and maybe 200 lbs. It came out the cane fields between the turn-off to the bridge and the intersection to the salt mine. Water in the bay was nice, fairly salty and getting green looking. The tide was moving out Saturday until about 11 am. Then it got calm. After that we had to start tipping our shad rigs with shrimp, and the bite continued.
