Im needing a new cranking battery, whats the best bang for the buck that will handle the normal access....how much and where....tia..

Blue top Optimas are not good cranking batteries from what I was told from Optima, red top will work.

Just go get one of the $70 academy batteries, think they have 24 month replacement warranty, put a perko switch on it and leave it off while not in use.

I got nothing but NAPA batteries on my boat and they were make 02 of 2006 and not one problem and the cracking battery only gets charged when running and it runs accessories and the best part it will set you back 90 dollars

thats what i did about a month ago got a dual purpose with 750 cranking amps and blah blah time on it works good cuz i run all my electronics on my cranking battery
