Default If there was no creel limit

on speckled trout, redfish or flounder.......how many would you keep?

This is a hypothetical question, so, you can be honest.

Depends on how many fish I have in the freezer and how much time/energy I had to clean the fish after the trip.... and of course, how any fish I catch.

So if I dont have fish in the freezer and I wouldn't be fishing much that year, every fish would hit the ice.

What about you ole Salt dome?

I fished when there was no creel limit . ice chest of filets was the way you scored a trip.
But we could also sell extra to the fish mkt.
other than that . whatever i know will be eaten before i get to go fishing again goes ion the box.

I'd keep a few smaller trout(9"-11") to cook on the bone like perch.

When I was younger, about 35 years ago, 3 or 4 of us would go to the channel/west fork point and fish out of a 14 ft. flat.
We fished till we filled a 48 qt ice chest and went home. Never counted a fish either.

I personally do not keep very many fish. I do catch way more than I keep. I have one pack of specks and one pack of shrimp. I seldom eat seafood. I fish for the fun of fishing. Most trout that hit the deck go home with Jared. Hungry college kids eat a lot. Lol.

I eat a lot of fish.
Bad thing is, there is no way you an eat enuff fish to pay for the boat, fuel, insurance, tackle... ect.
But store bought fish don't taste near as good as fresh fish.

20 trout if I was by myself. We've caught 75 with 3 people and thats alot of fish to clean by yourself. 40 trout sounds about good with 2 people.

ZERO because there would not be any left to catch. You just think the oyster boats were bad.

If they had no limit you would not see a difference in trout stock....as long as you had to use rod n reel only...never fish it out
