Default Calcasieu River

Made a trip this morning to the Calcasieu River to do a little bass fishing with Durf. Got out on the water around 9ish dodged some rain showers and ended the day around 12ish with 9 nice bass caught and released. The bait of choice today was the Humdinger Spinner bait in White/Chart. The water temp in the river was running from 60 to 62 degrees and the water was fairly clear. Caught fish in the river and also around the salt water barrier. All were the size as the one shown in the picture. Wanted to stay longer but the rain was coming so packed it in an called it a day. This was my first bass fishing trip and it was okay, I just a little more fight.

Yea I told him to stand so I could get that in the back ground and we could see how many peeps or there tomorrow. The other trick is if you don't know how to get there you will be on a mud flat for a very long time. There is a method to the great picture with everything in the back ground. HaHaHaHa!!!

No trick to it. You just get on step and run between the little island and the big island.

It's a rig. They are starting a petition for the trucks to repair our road. Old guy stopped me awhile ago and asked if I lived down here and explained.
