Go with a custom built hull. Will last twice as long. Xpress and any factory made aluminum boats are built with thin metal(1/8" or less)!

Yea xpress is pretty much junk....unless your just staying in a river with no wind....they scare fish in open water

the wind will whip them around! You'll have to stay on the trolling motor!

I have x 22 with the hyper lift hull and it does well in a chop..it is .125" thick alum...sure it is not a hiney (but nothing is) but for the amount I fish a year (20 -30) times it is all I need plus I saved about 10k vs a glass boat. now if money did not matter or all you did was fish a lot I would get a glass boat.

If you got the money I would check out Sportsman Fab in Morgan City. Mine is a 21x6 bay boat and I've been rough on it. It handles rough water well and last summer I had it 30 miles offshore. It floats in 11" of water and has no problem getting on step in 16" of water. It isn't as quiet and doesn't ride quite as well as a fiberglass boat but it will outlast any fiberglass hull, even a Haynie. Not hating on Haynies in fact if I were to buy a glass boat it'd be a Haynie its just hard for me to get away from the durability of an aluminum boat.

to me, if the price was pretty much the same for a glass vs alum boat...glass all the way....as I mentioned for the amount I fish a year I am very happy with my x22b xpress...

I am the proud owner of an junky X19 Xpress bass boat, I have fished in fiberglass boats, aluminium boats and even wood boats covered in glass and they all fish about the same..... no boat catches more fish then the other, it all comes down to how good of a fisherman you are.

Believe that in saltwater...... If you fish aluminum in rivers and lakes with no chop....great...I use my 15ft all the time in marsh... When your in open water with chop aluminum boat (DON'T MATTER WHAT KIND) will scare fish and kill a bite.... I have seen it 10000000000000000000000000000000000 xs
