Default Long day! fished northshore

started the day early, hooked up the boat, trailer lights didn't work, the ground wire pulled out of the trailer plug, so I spent a few minutes changing the plug. I get to the tchefuncte river about 7am fish for til 10:30 only caught 1 bass and It was about 8in long so I threw it back. After not catching any fish, I go to find another spot to fish and my motor gets loud and starts to vibrate a little more then normal, I stop and check everthing it looks ok but it isn't, so I go back to the launch which was only a mile away, pull the boat out the water. After looking at the lower unit more carefully I notice one bolt is backed out and another one diagonal to it is broken off! I just replace the lower unit 3 weeks ago! I know exactly why the bolts broke off too! at this point, I'm pissed I'm thinking I want to fish all day but I don't want to head an hour home to fix this. So then I go to home depot buy a few tools, I was able to take the lower unit off, take the broken bolt out and put lock tite on all the other bolts and tighten them down correctly. I then re planned my day and went over to Pearl river caught a few fish, and fished til 8pm. keep 8 fish threw a few more back. at then end of the day I'm glad I was able to fix my boat right and fish all in a day!

I don't get that way much anymore. You need to keep hitting it. Some really good fish in there!
