Opening day inland, you use to not be able to get in to Hebert's. Not many people rec. trawl the lake anymore. I did until I tore my net. Always caught more crabs than shrimp. prolly get in a fight these days. The beach this time of year can be loaded, that's if the weather permits.

Maybe on opening day, you will see someone trolling in BL.

I think there is still too much "Junk" on the bottom from Rita to safey troll in the lake.

Default srimpin in bigg lake

My dad loved to go when i was a kid. Srimp used to pour out of cuts from the marsh. Boats used to srimp in a circle. Would only catch when u were in front of the cuts. Coonazzes would have their shot guns. If u cut one of them off, u could expect a good cussing and maybe some buck shot. Those were the good ole days. Sure miss em.
