Default Grand Isle

Anybody else headed to the island this weekend? I am headed there on Friday staying in Leeville. We are launching in Fourchon or at Bridgeside depending on weather. Going to be my first trip of the year staying until Sunday, I can't freakin wait!

Lil bro is going in the morning w/ his son. I'll give a report when I hear from him. He'll probly be surf fishing @ Elmer's Is. or towards the State Park depending on wind and seas.

They have been absolutely murdering the trout around GI the last few weeks. Really nice fish too. Two weekends ago we came back with 25 averaging 3lbs. Weekend before we put 61 in the box (mostly 12-14") and were off the water before lunch. Last weekend we didn't go, but the reports from friends and family were just as good.

Good luck, and start googling recipes! You should be eating trout 5 different ways very soon!

Lil bro said the wind and the fishing's tough today. Only 8 specks, a couple of white trout , a red and a flounder. He's fishing Elmer's surf and marsh.
