HOT h2O advice please!

I returned home yesterday to find the drain pan line coming out the attic pouring water yesterday afternoon. I went into the attic to find the 2001 50gal hot water tank about to explode! It was buldging in the middle with a steady flow of water coming from it.

My question is, do any of you guys have the electric water heaters that are tankless? If so, do you like them? How do they hold up for supply to lets say, momma's garden tub? If she doesn't have hot water for her R&R time reading in the tub, I'm toast! Any reviews are appreciated, thanks!

when i built i wanted to go electric. but was told they where not advanced enough yet to be economical. they took like three or four breakers to run them too. i installed a propane tank for my tankless. it is wonderful. i wish i could help you on the electric one cause i would have loved to go that route. i have a tank sitting outside my house now just so i could have the tankless water heater.

FFF they are very expensive and the savings on heating the water will take years to make up for the initial expense. Additionally, and to answer your most important question regarding your Bride, the answer in my experience is NO. In mine I fine that the water initially is hot but then the temp fluctuates the longer the water runs. Hope this helps

I have a tankless, best thing I put in the house. They are expensive to have to work on, but IMO worth every cent. Get the gas one only, not the electric is what I was told. Very pleased with mine.

electric one is ok for a sink . Other than that get gas.

I have the propane one. Works great. Doesn't turn on until it senses water flow. Will give you steady hot water until you turn off the faucet. You will still need an electrical outlet to run the electronics on it. It has a digital display that mounts somewhere in your home that will allow you to control the water temp and stuff like that. I think mine has a setting will allow it to turn itself off if the amount of water flow doest meet my specified setting. Basically if I don't completely turn off the kitchen sink after a few minutes it will still flow but it will stop heating. If it senses a higher volume of water (bath or shower) it will run until I turn the faucet off.

best purchase for my new house six years ago. You set the temperature yout want and its there all day long. In my shower i need no cold water valve. I set the temp turn hot water side on only and get in there is no hot cold mixing to get the temp the way you want the water. i purchased one of the first reani brand heaters in lake charles and have had no problems

Do not go tankless electric. Tankless gas is awesome.

If you do not have gas, then look at hybrid water heaters.
