Just sold my Blue Wave a couple of weeks ago too and started looking for a 22ft with a 200+ on it. Looking at the Nautic Star...like the storage and fished with Jared recently in his 24....nice boat. A dealership in FL is advertising new 22' Sports with a 150 for $29K and there are a couple of used Tourney Editions with 200's for $25K - $30K in Houston. Planning to wait until the fall also to buy.

Love my 2220 Blazer Bay! Its a 2008 model and I run the Yamaha 250 HPDI. No complaints about the boat.

purebay2200 is underpowered with the 150... 200 is ok... the 225 is perfect.

To be honest, I've never really checked MPG,I figure it is what it is. MPH, 57 full tank of fuel 2 people

I have the 2110 with a 150 and the power seems good enough. I'm not in any kind of race. If I were you I'd skip the 22' and go for the 24'. Seems to me 22 is not much of a step up. I fished from both and the 24 is a much more noticeable difference. My next boat will be a 24'. Preferably the LTS. That thing is a tank.

there is a used one in br 2004 model...i still consider it because i believe it to be a solid hull and i hear the ride is unmatched. i thought about getting it and repowering few years down the road. it does not look that bad, comes with a 225 opti. other than the hull there is nothing impressive though. guy is asking 22500. i would love to take it out in lake pelto with a 10-15mph wind and see just how well they actually perform. |

It is pretty much impossible these days to buy a new bay boat for 30k. Of course, the exception is the Nautic Star 2110 but you just had one of those. If you are buying used there are lots of boats out there for under 30k. In addition to the ones you mentioned, the Key West 216 is a hell of a boat and the Tidewater has a great reputation as being very well built, especially considering its price.

It only took Pox one ride in my 24lts and he bought his the next week If you can wait for the right deal you can find one in your price range. I only paid a couple thousand more than you want to spend for mine with a four stroke suzuki 250, powerpole, jackplate, gps, tm, trimtabs |

You can buy a Frontier at Lake Area Marine for around 30k but that is before taxes, electronics and other options. You can also but a Tidewater 2100 for about the same price in Texas and down in Houma.
