Default Night Stalker, Sunday

Made a trip aboard Hackberry Rod N Gun's Night Stalker last night and it was every bit as much fun as it has been touted. Started off with a fantastic meal at the lodge of gumbo, shrimp fettuccini, green beans, carrot soufle and bread pudding for dessert. Left docks around 8 pm and headed to the reef. Dropped anchor and maily fed the croakers and lady fish until the trout showed up at 9:30. Finished the night at 12:00 with 90 speckled trout and 6 sand trout. Threw back maybe 15 undersized fish and around 10 rat reds. I even caught a 1' stingray!

Biggest 2 fish were caught by the lady onboard, a 3.85 and a 3.60.

Will definately be booking this trip again.

oh, just in case you were counting, the 6th person of our group left as soon as we hit the docks so he missed the picture!

It is one of the nicest fishing vessels I have ever been on. It is a 44x16 custom built barge out of Sorrento, LA. It has an a/c cabin with 4 bunks and a cushion bench. It has a nice radio system and on top of the cabin is a picnic table and a bbq grill. It was nice riding up there on the way out watching the sun set over Joe's cove. It is pretty dang fast, too, with twin 150 merc verados pushing it. It has 6 huge lights that light up the water. I wish I could afford to book this thing once a month!
