In my limited experience I have found the tide predictions to be very unreliable. Maybe I don't check the right ones. I have found you have to be there when the tide is moving and I have found no way to know that other than being there. Maybe someone more knowledgable will weigh in here.

I would GUESS that a high tide peaking at 6am in Hackberry would peak in Prien about 11am give or take. A low tide peaking in Hackberry at 6am would maybe peak in Prien about 1am. A couple of hours before the peak is when the water is moving, the actual peak is when its done. Winds also affect tides and a high tide could have water going in one cut and out another cut, and visa/versa on a low tide. They are hard to figure and like the other guy said, the best way to know is to go and maybe keep a log of what youv'e seen in the past for future trips

Try this link: http://www.tidesandcurrents.noaa.gov...cation=8767961 This is the information coming from Bulk Terminal -1 aka the Coke Loading Facility.
There is also an "Air Gap" page for the I-210 Bridge that can be found here: http://www.tidesandcurrents.noaa.gov...ge&port=lc |
