Default Can I Conceal Carry Here?

I was at the public library yesterday when I realized I had my pistol on me. I always leave it in the truck. When I left, I didn't see any no gun signs and I read the prohibited areas on the LSP site and it didn't say anything about a public library. Is it legal to conceal carry there?

When you're done with the coarse, let me know what the shooting qualifications consists of please. I hear so many different stories don't know which to believe, but I'm getting ready to take mine also and don't want to go into it blind.
Thanks

I would consider that a Government Building, so I would not carry mine into a library.

The shooting qualifications are not much. They just mainly want to see if you can properly handle a fire arm.

Took mine with a buddy of mine that only hit the target 3 times. BTY they dont like head shots. I put all of my shots in the body and one in the head and instructor got on me and sait that was not a defensive shot. I tried to tell him that shot would put him down the fastest.

That's what I thought, that's why I usually leave it in the truck. It just slipped my mind yesterday and I was curious as to if I was breaking the law or not.

I'm not sure who's ever been in a public library, but they sure have a few people in there that make me feel safer if I was carrying!!! 30 year-olds head banging at a computer while playing some magical elf game in the middle of the day is not normal!! Crazy how all the places you can't carry are the places $hi+ is more likely to happend.

I have my CCW as well, I would carry in the library. No signage posted and no alcohol sold there so you are pretty much safe. better to be judged by 12 than carried by 6. Google LA concealed carry laws to be sure, it basically says where you can't carry i.e. courthouses, parades, liquor stores, bars, etc.
