Cheers Saturday Trout Slam 2-23-13

Day 2 with Dr Jeff Ellard and Dr Jay Whitley. After a great night sleep at The Reel Inn Lodge they jumped onboard with Capt Travis Miller and had a great day slamming the trout. The guys had a great time, I look forward to their return. Thanks Capt Travis for showing the guys a good time and putting them on the fish.
Onboard the big Bluewave I had the pleasure of fishing with John, Josh, Richard Doucet, and Ronnie Gilbert again. These guys are always fun to fish with. After leaving The Reel Inn after day break we found the trout stacked up and hungry. Everyone in the boat was slinging in the yellow mouths. TTF KFM's in East Beast color and the now famous Green Hornet Matrix Shad put a hurt on the specks. Slow steady retrieve was key fishing in 2-5 ft of water. With a little hard work you can find the cleaner water and the specks. The rain was not a factor as we had already filled the box before the rain came. We stopped and made a drift in the red hole picking up 11 reds with only 4 making the box. We called it a day and headed in at 12:00 noon. Thanks again guys for the excellent company and laughs.
Specks are biting so give me a call. We are booking up quickly.
