My oldest one had a little corrosion around the side where you open up for breaks but that's about it

I have a core, and have yet to experience any corrosion issues.
However, I do follow the instructions and tighten drag all the way, run it under the sink while reeling, and then loosen drag all the way to air out. For those that have cores, how often do you oil them, where do you apply it, and what type of oil do you prefer? |
