Default Surfside, Tx Jetty

Arrived in Galveston at daybreak to gusting wind and breaking waves on the beachfront. Tried live and dead shrimp. Nothing but hardheads and a couple keeper whiting/channel mullet. Made a decision to go to the Jetty @ Surfside and it payed off with a limit of trout for me and a few more for my compadres that were fishing w/ me. Live shrimp on a cork caught most and a few on bottom. Tried artificial but all they wanted was the skrimps! There were a few that were just short of 15" that will be able to be caught again. Nice keeper size and thick surf runner trout. Sorry, no pics. They're on my buddy's camera. Hope to hit it again soon.....

Nice! Miss living in Galveston and seeing the fish roll in the breaks surf side!
