Don't know about there, but for what it's worth I fished the English Bayou yesterday evening with no luck. Will be going again this evening, and I will report back.

Ok, I went out again this evening and all I caught were some sun rays and one mullet. There are mullet everywhere! I haven't been fishing the area long so take these reports with a grain of salt. I'm also not sure how comparable the bite in the bayou is to that in the actual river. Will be trying the river by the 171 bridge tomorrow.

Between yesterday and today I have thrown Texas rigged watermelon seed trick worm, baby brush hog lizard, blue/black wacky worm, chrome bomber, frog, and several top water baits. We missed 2-3, but haven't had any really good hits.

Any suggestions?

You need to fish the bays or westfork right now. Find moving water in marshes north of barrier, think small while fishing this time of year. Light line, small frys

My only problem with getting to the west fork is that I live on the English Bayou, and I only have a 14 ft. aluminum with a 6 horse motor, so it takes me a while to get very far. I am going to try to get there this evening though.
