You guys should google chigger bites. They aren't actually burrowed in your skin. The itch will continue long after the chigger is gone just like mosquito bites itch after the mosquito is gone. So there is no need to try and suffocate them. Hot shower after you get out of the woods should be sufficient to get rid of the bugs, but the bite is going to itch after they are gone.

The fingernail stuff never worked for me. Apparently they live down in there till they suffocate and until they do they itch like crazy. Wait till you get some on the tip of your manhood. That was very unpleasant.

chloraceptic spray that you use for a sore throat does the trick my mom and dad live at t bend and they had them bad up there we tried every thing i have seen people put on here and none worked but the chloraceptic worked great
