The poly Riceland doesn't come close to the acrylic. It's significantly cheaper but it doesn't sound near as good.

Thanks guys... think I am going to go with the Riceland Poly. Once I get a little more experience, I'll probably upgrade to the acrylic. I am guessing the poly's are pretty easy to blow?

Yea, for me I found the hand position was slightly different. But once you find that sweet spot it's easy to consistently break over.

I blow an old sure shot. Probably $20 or so but it does the job. Takes a lot of air to blow it though. I struggle with some of the others for that reason. I don't know how to blow soft into a call. lol Same reason I don't use single reed duck calls.

I use the second hand to make it like a megaphone. And then cover slightly to sound like multiple birds

I don't like the way the pitch sounds with one hand. I always use two hands. Put this way it's so easy to blow my buddy can do it with his nose.
