Default Memories...

I'm new here and I'm a mom looking to make memories with my 13 & 14 year old sons. Hoping someone here can direct me, please. I remember when I was younger we went to Montegut and used cast nets off of a dirt pier out in the water at night to catch shrimp. I had the best time and want my boys to experience this. I live in Baton Rouge and have no clue as to where I can take them. Can someone here help a mom out with info please? Thank you!

U can come down to Vermilion parish below Lafayette. Down to Rockefeller refuge.. Or many places along road to Rockefeller from Pecan Island to the Refuge on Hwy 82 Etc. There are places to crab and cast-net for shrimp..

I have a 24' triton bay boat, and always looking for peps to share gas with .. Be willing to bring you all on a trout/red or crabbing trip if I'm in from offshore.. I fish the Vermilion bay area.

Hope this helps..

Take em down to grand isle and you can fish off the bridge at night or off the sides of hwy 1 during the day. Fish near canals or culverts that go under the road
