Eek My rebuilt salvage 28 CC - finished photos

I wish I had taken some before shots, but this was an abandoned hull we picked up for really cheap, and then dumped a ton of money and time into! Was a 7 day a week project for the last 3 months with me and another guy, we ended up spending around 30K plus motor, but I liked the way it turned out. Would have been cheaper to buy one fixed up, but WHERE IS THE FUN IN THAT!!! It was a fun build though, check out the tuna tubes and live well we put in. My 30 and 32 footer were good for roosterfishing, but really, when we aren't going to billfish I really would rather have the outboard. The motor is a Suzuki 200, the cover got scratched up really bad while we were doing the build, so I repainted it, funny enough, that was the hardest part of the build. Couldn't get ANYTHING to stick to that plastic without fish-eyeing. Finally figured it out though, and waiting for my new stickers. Going to be a lot of fun, we still have a bit of work we are going to do to this thing, but I'm excited and ready to start bending some rods!!!

Almost Finished pictures from today:

Our next project is building a big retractable shade for the front, should be done by the end of the week. Got the paperwork in process now, should be fishing in two weeks, going to nail some big roosterfish with this thing!

Sweet! I am not so sure it would have been cheaper to buy one already fixed up or not. Even if you could have save a little money buying a decent used one, you wouldn't know it as intimately as you know this one. Have you slimed her up yet?

No, paperwork here is like pulling teeth, and we're treating it like a new construction so I still have a couple of weeks before i can take it out and bloody the deck!

That was my favorite part by far, we spent forever getting that just right. And we use the same pump to grab the live well depending on which type of bait is available. Live bait rules!
