What is the normal cause for a compressor to fail or can they even ID the issue?
What is the average cost to replace the compressor? |

Two problems ,a design flaw that may have not shown up had the compressor been made in the USA. The crankshaft rides on a bearing only on one end of the crank . Not enough to support the load , especially when you have quality Mexican craftsmanship as this..

The new ones are supposed to be redesigned so that the crank has a bearing on both ends. Had one throw the rod out the side about a year ago. Need to make sure they change small filter and clean the line between the compressor and the engine. The 2 stroke oil flows through and lubes the compressor before entering the engine. Usually when a compressor fails it causes metal shavings to enter this line / filter.
