Default V Bay 11-23-13

Took about 3 hrs to make up my mind but decided to brave the wind and they were right where I left them yesterday. Got out there at 930 and fish cleaned for kick off. 20 solids and 2 reds. Missed a ton in the 25mph wind.

Man, I was on the water before 6am, fished till 11, and only got one fish and that was on the first cast. Not another bite on live shrimp or plastics the rest of the day. Fished the cove till anchor wouldn't hold, went to shark bayou mouth, nothing. Back to cove, anchor not holding, back to shark, nothing, back to cove, anchor held, but could not get a bite. Got cold and couldn't hardly stand in the boat with 2ft waves pounding the stratus. Frustrated cannot begin to describe it. Congrats on the catch, sure wish I knew how to fish.

I wish I would have made the move early. I was supposed to duck hunt this morn but fell through. And I flip flopped like John Kerry for a while. The just went.

I don't imagine there were many boats out fishing yesterday in that weather. Man I'm not that mad at those trout. It was nasty yesterday!

You're a better man than I.

They had way more boats than I thought prolly 10. Including 2 yaks out in the cove. Those guys were mad at em. I was just bored.

My neighbor was probably the one in the yaks. Poor guy had a camp reserved at the state park since January for the weekend, and the weather was terrible. He did catch 20 on Friday though, so all wasn't lost.
