I got up at 0630 to make a duck hunt and it started pouring rain in deridder so I opted out of it. Then had to be at work by 10. Glad someone got to get out and do some hunting or fishing..

yes i went up there last week. they took out all my honey holes for white perch. i ran way up the river past 27 and never hit one log. i did manage to pick up about 10# of oyster mushrooms. looks like i am going to have to round up a few xmas trees this year and put in a few brush piles.

There are a couple of prime spots out of the direct current for a brush-pile or two up there ...

You now the right spots could produce a lot of fish. I found the fish were always scattered on the river. The problem is the fish like to be suspended in deep water. Do you know who owns the bamboo up the river? Man what I could do with a couple of boat loads of that huge cane.

I will ask a buddy who lives off that section of the river about the bamboo ... My old neighbor has some as well, that stuff will take things over if left unchecked !!!
