Cheers 3-7-14 Trout Slam

Another great trout bashing trip today with good customer Kirk Breaux and Tess Boudreaux. With all the strong winds we had all week and overnight, we were not sure of what we were going to find. To our surprise we found clean water, calm winds, and hungry trout. Third cast produced a nice trout and it was one after another after that!!!! With one limit on ice the tide quit and switched. It took a little while for them to start biting again, but they did and we started catching them in spurts. Tess added a couple reds for the grill! With the box full, Kirk was ready to head in and clean fish. Today's fish averaged 14-20 inches, not one throw back. Green Hornet Matrix reeled slowly in 2-4ft depths did all the damage. It's nice to be able to fish with 1-2 baits all day long and not have to continually change baits after 2-3 fish. No other baits out there that have the catch-ability and durability as the Matrix Shad. Thanks again Kirk, as we add yet another great trip to our count!!!

Big thanks to Capt Rob DuPont for running the second boat with Robert Harell and his dad. Guys had a great time catching trout and one nice red for the grill.
