Which lures to take?
I would like to know how a person is supposed to know ahead of time what kind of environment he will be fishing in before hand, cuz I'm sure everyone has a million different types of lures for the different environments. How are you supposed to know which lures to bring with you in the boat? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Which lures to take?
Quote:
"It's better to have it and not need it than to need it and not have it" I bring everything if I can mostly. On most bodies of water there are different spots where many different presentations are available to you. Your baits don't do you any good at home. Buy something that you can organize your tackle in that doesn't take up all the space and roll with it. And if that's not possible maybe it's time to weed out some things. Most people only fish with 3 or 4 different plastics anyway and in 3 or 4 different colors Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Last edited by AubreyLaHaye458; 03-18-2014 at 10:53 PM. |

I guess there are a couple "go to" baits that i always break out first. If i go somewhere and get really good intel on a particular "bait" being "It" i will try that first but........... if i dont know i hit my tried and true go to's Bass. 1) Big Reaction Bait... ie... White Spinnerbait with nice big white curl tail grub on it. 2) Blue or Black back rattle trap 3) Texas rigged worm in watermelon color. Crappie 1) 1/16 oz jigs spider rigged out of front of boat with black / chart and blue white. If there in water from 5 - 20 ft i will find em with this. 2) same size jigs popped 1-2 ft under a small cork for spawning time 3) when all else fails... shiners. Salt Life 1) Popping cork with a 1/4 or 1/8 oz jig head rigged 12-24 inches underneath it. With some sort of shrimp imitation on the end of it.. I like pearl white and natural colors. 2) same jig head and lures without the cork. 3) GULP! |
