Just dropped $140 on 20lbs of 6-8's.....$7/lb is a lil pricey, but its the same price as a sack of medium crawfish...and once I hook em up with my hybrid Abita/bbq shrimp sauce....ooooowwweeee.....I'll take em over bugs any day of the week...but hey thats just me

Brown and White Shrimp - 10 pounds of whole shrimp will yield 4 1/2 to 5 1/4 pounds of tail meat.

Sea Bobs (shrimp) out of 10 pounds of whole shrimp will yield 4 to 4 1/4 pounds of tail meat

Crawfish out of 8 pound of whole crawfish will yield a little over 1 pound of
tail meat

So yes...... you are getting more bang for your buck with shrimp.
