Salty- You need to come spend a day with me if you think pain management clinics are legit. Yours might well be, but I have set in the parking lot of some for 3 hours where 98% of the plates on vehicles had drug distribution histories. Watched a van of 7 people go to one, and in 22 minutes all 7 come out with scripts. Then after all 1120 Roxies were filled, they poured them into a gallon zip-loc bag and delivered them to our UC at $18/pill. If you think DEA and FBI are shutting them down, you are sadly mistaken. As soon as one doctor is revoked, his buddy takes up the slack.

I said in this area.....meaning Washington/St. Tammany Parishes.

I think it's unfair to the people abiding by the law to lump all these establishments into one group, but, I guess one bad apple does spoil the whole bunch. I listed some of the requirements that are set by the legit ones and there's no way around 'em. If I were to go to the ER today, get a "script" for any type of pain med and get it filled......I'd be automatically dismissed from pain management before the sun went down. That's the way it ought to be.

I understand completely and was in no way coming down on you, or your clinic old friend. Just wanted to show the contrast of what I see. Unfortunately, we have a couple of big chain pharmacies that refuse to report to the system tracking narcotic Rx scripts as required, thus making it impossible to stop the abuse.

Bryan, a few years ago (5-6), this area was overrun with this kinda stuff. I remember one place in particular right here in Bogalusa. I'd be headed to work at 6-6:30 in the morning and people would be lined up at this one door. I thought it was a food stamp office or the like. Turned out it was a pain clinic. Back then they were not called "pain management" because they provided no such service. There were a couple more here, but, they've all been dismantled. There are no "pain management" clinics...to my knowledge.

One other thing about the legit clinics.....most of them don't even accept cash/checks. If you were paying your own way (w/o insurance), I don't know how they do that, or, if they even do. I know mine doesn't.

This is not an attempt of mine to justify the fact that I take pain meds (almost) daily. Millions of people suffer from chronic back pain and, for them, pain management is (almost) a must. It's intended to help the patients cope with their pain...not to gain a continuous "buzz".

Clampy - if you think "Dro" and "weed" are the same you have been smoking it entirely too long!!!!! Hyrdoponic marijuana is much stronger that field grown weed and the THC will impair someone to a greater degree than regular weed. To the point they are a danger to themselves and those around them. It is the same as a college student drinking beer to get drunk one night - then going out and slamming shots of Patron. The level of impairment is different and faster.

I use this saying to people all the time - in the thousands of patients I have transported over the years, hundreds and hundreds of those were overdoses. Of those hundreds of overdoses, do you know how many were OD's of weed...........NONE, not a D$mn one of them - why, because you can't.

It will be - and needs to be legal. Not sure why it still isn't. - Even the DA's are for it. Problem is just like alcohol in prohibition - "how to make it legal" is the problem.

Look. Weed is weed there are 3 types
Cannabis Sativa
Cannabis Indica
Cannabis ruderalis

You can give people 3 seeds of same plant to 3 people one might be crap one might be ok one might awesome.
It all on how you grow and care for it.
It's not like this is dro seed and this is regular

Ditch weed is low in THC because it's not cared for well and is mass produced for big profit.
High THC means I take one hit instead of a blunt.
Dro is not a type of weed it's a growing technique.
It just became what the streets called good weed. It's marketing.

.
As clampy said initially most of the time hydro is more potent.
However, that is bc if someone is going to take the time to set up a hydroponics system they are going to get a good strain of seeds and take care of the plants.

Simply growing crappy "bag" seeds in a hydroponics set up is not going to make it more potent. That has everything to do with the strain.

"Dro" is not pollenated nor grown with natural light - it is not the same!! It is genetically better than field weed and this will be a short argument. Yes, the growing technique causes the difference, that fact I will concide - but it is not the "same weed". If it was the same, the THC would be the same.

It's like saying a cow from the feed lot in Kansas will taste the same when butchered as a cow from an all natural farm in salt grass with no hormones. They are both beef, but the end result is scientifically different...........because of the way it was grown.

No no no.

The fact that it is grown better makes THC stronger.

Look when you keep a female plant away from males ( unlike Mexican field weed where they don't remove the males ) it makes more THC which is the resin which grabs onto male pollen. So in absence of males the plant thinks if it makes more THC it will get pollen that it is missing out on.
What would you call indoor grown cannabis in pots under a 1000 HPS light ?
I call that good weed. It's not grown hydroponically so it isn't dro.
The controlled environment is what makes the best or highest THC content plant.
Like I said " hypothetically" give me and you the same seed. I plant indoor and take care of it I might get THC in the 20 percentile. You grow outside and hardly water and not care for it your plant will be 5 percentile.
This is all 100% fact. Please look it up and quit making me pull over.

Apparently you lit up this morning and are working slow......as Cheech & Chong slow! - I conceded that the growing technique makes the difference in THC content - that is a given. However to call it the "same weed" is crazy when the THC content is 20 times the strenght, even though the seeds are genetically the same. As a cop, I am not worried about how much THC is in the weed. I am worried about how much THC is delivered to the blood stream of the driver that just ran a red light and plowed into a soccer mom!! That's all - it doesn't amtter wether he took one hit from a bong on DRO, or smoked 3 blunts of skunk. What I am trying to say, without a set amount, people may smoke some DRO thinking it will take this much to get lit. But they have not smoked this type of DRO before and don't realize what effects will have on their particular body. Please refer back to my example of the college kid drinking beer one night, and Patron the next. Their intoxicating effects will be different. That is all I am worried about as a cop. Please understand that I do not support the marijuana - not because of what it does, but because of the violence in the illegal drug market. People say when it is legal, the violence will stop and I call BS to that. And by violence, I mean the thugs trying to steal and shoot people over it!

Are you familiar with the golden triangle? In northern Cali.
You know the place that grows the best (strongest ) weed on earth.
They all grow outside in soil using the sun.

I believe you mean emerald triangle, and the region is know as that because of the amount they produce, not because of the grade.
