Default Greater Scaup

In case you have never seen a pair of Greater Scaup I believe I have a photo of a pair. They were in the canal alongside Hwy 27 just south of the Wetland Walkway Saturday afternoon.

Pictures here http://tfinnie.blogspot.com/

Please let me know if you feel they are not Greater Scaup.

Best,
Tom

If you are interested on getting some pics of some blue wing teal let me know. I've been running catfish lines at my duck lease West of Vinton and there are a handful of teal in the same pond every day. Could probably get pretty close to them while they are on the bank or banks edge. Message me if you are interested.

Never bagged a Greater Scaup but I remember the time when my father and I were duck hunting and a tight group of Lesser Scaup flew over and just passed us. My father fired his long barreled 12 gauge and it started raining ducks. After they finished dropping from the sky seven ducks were floating on the large pond. If I wouldn't have seen it I wouldn't have believed it.
