The curado g series is made in malasia and the chronarch e series are made in japan. Id go with the chronarch e over the curado g if u go shimano in that price range.

Just stay away from okuma. They have issues w corrosion In saltwater.

I looked at one of the new I series, turned it over and seen it said Malaysia and put it back down and said no thank you

I only use PENN. I have used other reels that my friends have and have yet to find a better reel. Depending on what series you get depends on where it is made. For the most part, if it cost more than $150 then it is made in the USA, if under that price it is made in China but all the parts are of the same quality.
Good luck on your choice, and at the end of the day it is going to be what you like and what you feel is good. |
