6" lift. It rides better than the duramax I traded in on it though.

My paw had a 95 Z71 flare side with 350 (not the vortec) 3.73 reared! The stock tires were Goodyear a/t's I believe 32/11.50/16's
@ 70 mph the the rpm's were rite @ 1700-1800 and we did 21 mpg's on the highway to the deer lease every weekend! The motor gave out @ 175,000k but the tranny was original!
We still joke today that the 4x4 had less than a mile on it when he sold it! Man he treated that thing like a powder puff! Lol

performance wise all brands have trucks to compete with each other. what nobody has mentioned is how ugly that new tundra is. ford not to far behind it with that nasty tailgate. chevy and gmc have the best looking trucks on the road right now. dodge...... do people still buy dodges?

You get what you pay for. Dodge makes a good diesel, that's about it. Interior quality is **** and falls apart at 100k miles. Chevy is a little better than dodge, half ton gas wise, but their quality is lacking compared to Ford and Toyota as well. Ford has the best looking truck IMO, Chevy has a decent looking truck finally, and the Tundra's are growing on me. Chevy engineers always have been and always will be a step behind Ford. Ford F150's haven't been number 1 selling truck for, what is it now, like 34 consecutive years for no reason. Chevy's and Dodges are cheaper for the most part, but Ford is still selling more trucks. Oh, and they didn't need a bailout.

Will never in my life own a Chevy/GM or a Dodge.

Better go do some research, Ford took a government loan too. They didn't take as much but they did take it. 9 billion and haven't paid it back.

Ford definitely took government money, but they didn't take it to keep from going bankrupt like GM and Dodge did, both of who went bankrupt after taking the money. It's probably not a big deal in the big picture since GM did repay the money they borrowed.

Also, up until about ten years ago, ford had the crappiest interior.

5.9 billion. They asked for it to retool manufacturing plants so they can keep up with the company that just got 80 billion in bail outs.

Chevy and gmc mechanicaly are the same vehicle. Ford f150 dosent come close to the combined sales. And ford always claims their F series is the best selling vehicles in america well I guess so the f series consist of about 20 models.

I just bought an ecoboost and my brother bought a 2014 chevy.

gas mileage is very close to each other,

ecoboost definitely pulls more flawlessly without all the down shifting

chevy has quieter ride, and probably a little smoother

ecoboost has way more pep

ford seems to sit a little higher which I like

I do like the chevy's layout of all the gadgets better though

Both pretty good trucks, I'd say. All comes down to personal preference, and if I was forced to choose another truck it would be either a f150 or the new gmc actually. I think the body style on the gmc is pretty sweet.

just to compare...

2014 tundra 2x4 5.7 SR5
16.5mpg per tank average (1/2 hwy, 1/2 stop and go)
16mpg towing my 16ft cc at 60mph

all trucks (real world) mpg are much closer that everyone says... take that how you want it, just speaking from personal experience
