Little over 2 weeks and I'll be there. You guys are fortunate to live in Sportsman's Paradise. I literally dream about this trip every year. It's like a buck in rut though, since I can only fish once a year, 6 days straight, I am wore out. I plan my strategy all year but then when I finally get on BL, things just seem tough, so much water. I have narrowed a few spot down over the years and do decent enough. Wish Hackberry had a restaraunt, 1st time there I told my wife we were gonna eat that night at the "Speckled Trout". Got there and sign said "Ladies Night, Girls in Pajamas Drink Free". Needless to say, we didn't go in.

Yeah We like to go to Texas Roadhouse when we want steak and then will usually go in one more night into lake Charles and try to find good seafood. I would take some recommendations for the best seafood places. I know asking that question is also like asking what the best fishing lure is.

Seafood palace on enterprise blvd. is my top choice for normal dining. Holliers in sulphur is good too if you don't want to make the drive all the way to lake Charles. But it depends on how nice of a place you want bc those two are very casual. Mazen's has an excellent (but expensive) filet and lobster and multiple seafood dishes. There is a crusted baked fish dish with crab claws, shrimp, mussels, crawfish, and a chipotle sauce that is my wife's favorite in town.

Ate at a little place on Ryan street close to campus. Don't remember the name but it was pretty good. Had raw oysters and tuna steak.
