Can we catch snapper off the Louisiana coast within 10 miles and not have to worry about federal agents? |

The OP is referring to catching in fed waters out of season. Sounds like they are avid snapper fishermen and they already know the boundaries. His question was, what is the fine when you get caught? Am I missing something? I wasn't being smarta$$. Thats why I put a "LOL" at the end. If I left that off, then yes it would be smarta$$.
If you ask the question, what happens when you get "caught", then that implies you know you were doing wrong. |

You can not get snapper first then go out further just like you can not get redfish then go into federal waters with them.

To the Fed's your breaking the law, state or fed waters!!!
As fine I have heard of boats been taken and then just some cheep fines. Till they get it all straighted out it's not worth it to me!! |
