Default BL Roadtrip

Got to enjoy your great fishery once again last week. Spent the weekend in Houma doing some rodbuilding stuff at Swampland, then met a friend in Baton Rouge for a Monday trip to BL. Launched at Calcasieu Point (can't tell what they fixed; still one of the best public launches I've seen anywhere). I was hoping to catch redfish and we did! Total count about 30 and almost all were 8-10 pounds. Three different times we had double hookups and landed fish that size.

Water was very dirty but anything with a chartreuse tail seemed to work OK. Don't know the names of areas but we fished the east shore between the first (north) weir and the second. Interestingly, the fish were usually 10-20 yards from the bank. Also caught 5 flounder casting right to the grass.

You guys have an awesome playground.

Thanks. Everything was spur of the moment. We didn't decide until late Sunday afternoon whether we would fish BL or Cocodrie.
