Default Question butte la rose

We all wait for the that magical number 10ft and below at butte la rose for condition to be right in vermillion bay right.

Would looking at the mouth of the achafalaya be more accurate in determining how much dirty water is being dumping into the bay?

With the M. river pushing out over 1M cfs in BR right now I wouldn't count on clean water for another month or two.
Also I wouldn't look at the mouth of the river because of the tidal and wind affecting the gauge.

This is a pretty cool site, you can track the crests as they travel down the rivers.

Alpha take a look at this salinity is shooting up..... The west winds for the last week or so have helped the bay. supposed to stay westerly for the rest of the week.

Been watching this site. The Mississippi is starting to drop around Kentucky. Waiting to see how long it takes to drop around Louisiana.

Sometimes I wonder about myself...
