Default Reds in weeks bay?

Has anybody been catching any reds in weeks bay lately? Thinking bout going tmrw but I have seen salinity levels for bay have been terrible and it's been real muddy by the camps. Fished off buddies pier last week and caught bunch croakers, gaff tops, hard heads and blue cats.

Almost went yesterday to shark bayou in kayak. After hearing your report, makes me glad I went to Point Aux Chenes. Picked up 4 reds within an hour. I'll wait on the 'pernt until september.

made a quick run to the trash pile sunday afternoon just to see. Water is not bad but very fresh, all we caught was croakers. Came in thru Weeks bay, Shark bayou. Water is pretty in Weeks but very fresh , no salty taste at all.

tore the reds up in weeks on Tuesday...the water was beautiful, but very fresh. the 16-20 inch reds didn't seem to mind had 2 man limit + a flounder and a catch and release by 10:30. all on gold spoon and matrix shad with gold spinner. Id be there again today if all these kids in my house didn't think I owed them food for some reason.

I think its called Pelican point....that area on the west bank before it opens up. We trolled that bank. We covered some pretty good ground. so really it was the whole north west bank when you come out of shark bayou. Might be back out there Saturday.

If yall see what looks like an white classic Mako with a Verado 200 gimme a shout or we may be in an 03 hydra sport with yam 150....depends on if I get my trailer back in shape by then.

g'luck to any that are going

I haven't been on water much thiis year but I know if you catch the tide moving they're biting. I hear reports constantly but try to stay away from them being I have other things going on. I'm going this weekend for sure!
