I wish I was close enough to bring routine stuff to you man.

I don't care what it costs, just do it right so that it won't need to be done again for a while.

Just today, I took out citation jet for a test flt, with the owner. We could not duplicate the problem, but on final approach we encountered a new problem. Burning smell in the cockpit. We landed and shut down. Inspected everything under the instument panel and avionics in the nose. Couldnt duplicate, and it was closing time. Owner still wanted to leave with acft. Nothing i can do about his decision, as dumb as it is, to take an acft flying that has a burning smell, yet unidentified, is his choice. Yes people are stupid, even smart ones......

Find somone you can trust. Best mechanic you can find is the one that will advise you to buy a new vehicle. Yeah I won't make much $ on your new ride but you'll remember we didn't try to screw you. We can make $ and not screw you to do it. Find a tech that you trust.

You got some balls to get in an aircraft with a known problem..... And the owner is a dumb@$$ for not leaving it to get fixed! It's not like a truck or boat where you can just walk or paddle if it breaks down!

And for the record, I'm one of those Youtube "experts". I'll fix all kinds of issues from YouTube videos, but I'm smart enough to swallow my pride when something is over my head.
