Voodoo was dead on guys. Although there is truth to the fact that many of the components that manufactures use are available to the custom builder it does not mean that everyone builds the same way or to the same quality. Casey is a great guy and does amazing work. Most custom rods will be much better built then anything you buy off the shelf. Do they sometimes cost more? Sure but your not buying a mass produced, fit for everyone not fit for you, rod. I think you'll like what Casey is going to build you.
To answer the poster that stated "aren't custom rods just dressed up versions of anything a manufacture makes?" Get you a custom rod made, and you'd be surprised how quickly that changes. |

Can't speak for the the functionality yet but I can speak for the feel of my voodoo rod and for Casey. The rod can't weigh any more than my cumara and feels great. Looking forward to trying this thing out. And Casey is a super nice guy. Showed me around the shop and some of his work. This guy builds some pretty rods. I'd highly recommend hitting him up.

Christened the voodoo rod today. Only 2 on that particular rod but both were 4-5# reds on top water. I can't explain the feel but the rod seems more balanced or something even when fighting. It will cast a mile also.

A little update on my voodoo rod. Been about a year now and this is my favorite rod. Actually just contacted Casey and about to start a new build.
