Default Hard to Explain

Good afternoon from a hot and sandy place, but I finally got another day off. As a result, I wrote another blog post. I'm anxious to hear what you think. Hope all is well!

I don't think I can explain why I like to fish. I am not really sure it can be explained, only understood by other guys that are as sick as me. Trout fishing is just like other things humans are addicted to. Its like playing the slots and hitting a Jackpot half of the times you pull the leaver. The high of smashing them is better than any drug I ever tried. When people ask me why I like to fish I usually tell them cause its fun.

The days you have to grind to just get a few vs. The few days you made all the right decisions and slamed them,is what's makes me love it.

I think for many of us......our "need" to fish comes from something that is not measurable.
It once was a very large profession, (think Peter/Paul here) and I think it has something to do with that internal need to "produce"

Now in todays world, many of us do not need to fish to eat. But, perhaps our ancestors did.

It's a real peace for me now.........it once was limits, then it was tournament fish, than it was fast boats (very fast boats) now it's watching other catch fish.

I am just as happy catching a few, and then netting and baiting for others..........I get a kick out catching my bait as much as I do the fish.

The smell, the weather, the boat, the bait, the water, the everything........somehow brings me to a place that is familiar
