Default Vbay Area report 8/30

One stop shop this morning. Caught a 2 man limit by 1130 all on shrimp creole and opening night matrix shad offshorePretty green water. Fishing got good around 10 and we left em biting. Nothing huge, couple around 3 and some schoolies. Only had to measure a couple fish though. Called in a couple of boats loaded down with kids and told em what was up. Hope they caught a few.

Good report, my buddy took out my boat this am. He reported choppy seas and dirty water. I didn't ask him what spots he hit but know he was offshore.

one of the guys pmed me earlier and said they only caught a few after I left, but the kids had fun, and thats all that really matters. I remember one of my first trips as a kid to the bay, One of my dads friends took us to the trashpile and we murdered the croakers. It was one of the trips that got me hooked on fishing. Its all about getting em out there and showing em a good time.

We went out sunday and only managed 5 specks and one white. They were there, just wouldn't eat... The wind eventually got too bad to set up on the spots i wanted to fish, so we rolled out.

.........."there's something happening here, what it is ain't exactly clear". Saturday, I drove to the Pernt to buy some shrimps from the dock and as I travelled South, I saw many boats coming North (away from the Point) and this was at about 11 a.m. I took that to mean they had already been out, caught their fish and were going home (cuz that's what I do if/when I ever catch a limit). Then as I passed the Bayou Patout landing, the parking lot was overflowing and some boats were picking up. Then, as I passed Quintana, same thing. Being a trained investigator, I deduced that maybe some fish are being caught in WB, TP and VB? Wonder if any who were in that armada care to report?

About 5:00 Sunday afternoon, only 1 boat was on Trash Pile, 1 @ Mud Point and "0" in The Cove. I was not fishing, just boat riding.
